Week 33 August 25 - 31
"In art economy is always beauty." Henry James
Around here, many people have pear trees in their yards. These trees thrive with little attention and bear tons, literally, of fruit. The problem is, not only does all the fruit tend to ripen at the same time, but pears are only at perfect eating ripeness for a day or two. If every one in town ate nothing but pears for a week, I think some of the fruit would still go to waste.
So, I paint pictures of them. This week's painting is a pear picture I particularly like. It's a watercolor sized 6" x 2" titled Pear Parade. It is for sale for $100.00. Please contact mary@marygreggbyrne.com for purchase and further information.
